Who are we?
This privacy notice is for the Developmental Biomechanics group, School of Mechanical & Materials Engineering within University College Dublin, Belfield, Dublin 4, Ireland. You can contact us at niamh.nowlan@ucd.ie.
The Developmental Biomechanics group fully respects your right to privacy and actively seeks to preserve the privacy rights of those who share information with us. Any personal information which you volunteer to us will be treated in accordance with Irish and European Data Protection legislation.

Why and how we collect and process the information and for how long we keep it?
We collect your personal data for the purpose of market research, to understand the needs and preferences of potential users, improve and refine our product, communicate with you if you’ve opted in for updates, and measure the performance of our advertisements. We will never sell your data or use it for unrelated marketing purposes. Under GDPR, we collect and process your data on the bases of Consent and Legitimate Interests.
We will collect the following types of personal data:

We retain personal data for up to 2 years from the date of collection, unless you request deletion sooner. This allows us to use the insights you've provided to inform development and keep you updated if you’ve opted in. If you have signed up to receive our newsletter updates or marketing communications, we will retain your email address until you withdraw your consent by unsubscribing or otherwise opt out. If we have not contacted you or received any interaction from you for a period of up to 12 months, we will seek your consent again before continuing to send you communications. If no response is received, your email address will be securely deleted from our records.
